Chinese Food

Chinese cuisine is one of the biggest and most popular foods in the world. Having not only influenced other Asian country cuisines the prominence of many takeaway stores in western countries show just how popular Chinese food is.

Many dishes in Chinese cuisine use one of three staple foods/ingredients. These include:
  • Rice, usually steamed and is used in not only foods but to produce things such as beers and wines
  • Wheat, used in many wheat based foods such as bread and dumplings
  • Noodles, served in various shapes and sizes based on the dish

One of the most popular fine dining courses within Chinese cuisine includes Peking Duck, a roast duck and is eaten by rolling scallions, cucumbers and sweet bean sauce in a pancake.
