Dessert Degustation
It has become very common to have a
degustation course for enjoyable dining experience. But it is very rare to have
degustation course for desserts. Venue in Barangaroo called 12 Micron has brought
this to a whole new level. To have a desserts bar that has seven different
types of desserts that is served as a course is rejoiced by many sweet-tooths.
The desserts presented include:
CHEDDAR
MOUSSE/ Baked Pyengana cheddar, milk chocolate,
plum, roasted plum pieces, toasted milk solids, honeycomb
CARROT
CAKE/ Purple carrot cake, purple carrot ice cream,
candied orange carrot, blood orange cream, cream cheese frosting, liquorice
PEANUT
BUTTER ROSELLA/ Peanut butter mousse, *Rosella
(native to northern parts of Australia) and raspberry jelly, caramelised
peanuts, white chocolate, toasted sour dough ice cream, caramel
EARL
GREY/ Earl grey tea parfait, compressed mandarin,
white chocolate and peppermint,mandarin pearls, burnt mandarin cream
PINEAPPLE
SAGO/ Spiced pineapple, mint and basil gel, coconut
sago, pineapple foam, crispy rice paper
PAVLOVA/ Crisp meringue, quandong jam, white chocolate, strawberry liquid
spheres, quandong
RAINFOREST/ Valrhona Itakuja mousse, apple and rainforest lime puree, frozen
chocolate, passionfruit, shitake sponge, chocolate crumble
The presentation of each desserts are very
unique and delicate, and so is the taste each of them bring. If you are huge
